Mubarak returns to Egypt after surgery
President Hosni Mubarak is back in Egypt Saturday after undergoing surgery in Germany to remove his gall bladder, state TV reported.
He arrived in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
A doctor at Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany said Mubarak has fully recovered from the operation.
"I am accordingly happy to announce this morning that the president has fully recovered from the effects of the successful surgical intervention conducted on him exactly three weeks ago," the hospital's Markus Buechler said.
"I have recommended, however, that the president continues his convalescence back home during the coming two weeks before he gradually returns to his full and normal activities."
